Memo 144: On the Foot

Nothing does my spirit right like a good statement shoe. I will be the first to admit that this Sophia Webster Mila Sandal was a good mix between intriguing and intimidating. I just didn’t know how it would look on the foot. Some statement shoes can be a little too much for life but that wasn’t the case with this particular shoe. She turned out to be a real black-suede-caged-sandal winner.

Love the way you simplified your ensemble to let the shoes shine. I've been coveting these shoes for over a year and you've convinced me to make the purchase. How do you find the fit, are they true to size?

Hi Alexa! I'm a 10 US (don't make that face…yes, I have big feet) and bought these in a 41 EU. I probably could have gotten away with a 40.5 EU. My suggestion is to try the two sizes (half and a whole size up) closest to your size to get the right fit and return the pair that doesn't werk out. Also, they're super comfortable! Enjoy!

Thanks so much Soror, no judgment at all bc I wear a 10 as well! Glad to hear they're comfortable as well. I actually bought the last 41 from NM today. I absolutely love your blog and your aesthetic, and I'll have to let you know when I post my Milas on http://www.thickerthanuraverage.com!
