Memo 300: (Sweet) Knowledge Is Power

Well, it’s HBCU Homecoming season and I, for one, cannot contain my excitement. Attending, struggling through and graduating from an HBCU was literally one of the best decisions that I have made in my entire life.

So, this week, I wanted to shout out and feature a few poppin’ HBCU Alum owned brands.
Sweet Knowledge Clothing is the brainchild of fellow Howard Alum, Leslie Antonoff. The brand prides itself on producing quality t-shirts and sweatshirts to fully express HBCU school spirit with slogans such as “Bad and Black Educated” and “HBCU Made.”
I’m not a huge logo t-shirt wearer but if I’m going to rock a t-shirt, Imma make it look sexy (hey Kendrick). I paired this “Supremely Black Educated” tee with my trusty H&M trench cape, these oldie but goodie harem pants from Zara and a textured belt bag that I snagged in Brazil.
Tiff Tip: Logo t-shirts look great in unexpected places like when its worn with a pantsuit or paired with a sequin skirt.
Think outside of the box the next time that you pull out your favorite logo tee.
Also, I’m super excited to announce that I will be at the Howard University Homecoming Tailgate on Saturday, October 21st from 1PM – 6PM with the Tampax & Always Radiant Collection. Stop by and visit me at the tent, if you’re in the area.
