Memo 362: I Had The Most Positive People Experience Ever and Here’s Why

Y’all, I was a complete people magnet the day that I wore this look. It was a sea of gray and black and then there was me. Sometimes, you have to be the change you want to see in this world.

I’ve been so ready for Spring to happen that I’ve started dressing for the Season that I want. I was bright and bold and people responded very well to it.

One woman on the train asked to take a photo of me for her blog, random people would just look at me a smile, another woman walked up to me and told me that she just really enjoyed the look and to stay blessed, two women in the grocery store wanted to make sure that they paid me a compliment because we don’t do it enough.

I smiled (through my outfit) and the world literally smiled back.

It was hands down one of the most positive people experiences that I’ve ever had in New York and it all started with a look. Can you dig it?

What a beautiful reaction to your spring palette! I think people love color and you put a smile on everyone’s face that you encountered! You go Queen!

I can dig! As an ex-New Yorker who wore black ALLLL the time, now I almost never wear it. Colour makes conversations. Colour makes people happy. Colour changes your mood and lifts everyone around you. Now I ONLY wear colour!

I love your post; your outfit is spring on a stick! Your confidence and positivity really shine through. My favourite sentence is:
I smiled (through my outfit) and the world literally smiled back.

    xx

Awesome outfit! You’ve inspired me and brought tears to my eyes because of the kindness of strangers! I stumbled upon your website through a link by Catherine Summers (Not Dressed as Lamb). This week I’m going to wear an emerald green sweater, pink plaid pencil skirt and red shoes.

I’m going to follow your blog, of course!
