Like, last year, I normally do a little reflecting as I count down the days to my birthday. Sometimes, I forget to sit in the corner and think about all that I have done. Well, folks, today I’m in the corner!
Since last May, I’ve:
- Cut off all of my hair!
- Had a photo shoot with my crazy friend and photographer, Elton Anderson. (Remember these?)
- Stayed up well past my bedtime and into the wee hours of the morning to re-evaluate my entire life when Beyonce dropped a surprise album with accompanying videos at midnight of some random day in December.
- Celebrated my mom’s 60th Birthday in Vegas.
- Been nominated and voted Fashion Bomb Daily’s Bombshell of the Year for 2013.
- Galavanted all over London and Amsterdam.
- Studied at the London College of Fashion.
- Traveled to New York in the middle of the biggest snow storm in North America for the Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week.
- Gotten kidnapped by the state of New York for four additional days post Fashion Week.
- Met two of my fashion idols: June Ambrose at New York Fashion Week and Solange at Coachella.
- Attended the International Coachella Music festival and lost my black mind to Pharrell’s entire set.
I’m pretty sure I’m leaving some things off but what a freaking year! I’m telling ya’ll to get in a corner and look back over your life.

Yes, Sarah, reflection is so important! Make a list and just stare at all the wonderful things that you've done. It's really motivating to see the list. It only propels you to do more positive things.
